About the tour
The Road
The road takes 64 Kms, we will start from La Cumbre at a height of 4170 metres and the first 45 minutes it will be downhill on a paved road, and then we will continue on an off road. Most of it is downhill and the rest is flat, there are places where you have to pedal, in the middle we will pass under some small waterfalls so you will get wet!
Bikes and equipment
What you get is a full suspension bike with hydraulic disk brakes; our bikes go under maintenance every single day for all the components to work the best way possible!
The safety equipment you get is a full face “sixsixone” certified helmet, kneepads, elbowpads and gloves! For you not to get too dirty we include a jacket and trousers for your comfort!
The guides
An English speaking guide goes with you the whole time, we send 1 guide for every 5 people for a better control, for larger groups we also send a mechanic in case of assistance with the bikes. Guides are mechanics and they are proper trained in first aids and rescuing if it comes to be necessary, of course we take our complete rescue equipment as well as a tube of oxygen.

Had a great day cycling on Death Road. Although it was extremely wet and foggy, our guide Frank 'The Tank' ensured the trip always felt safe by giving great safety... read more advice and clear instructions. Was provided with a full suspension bike with responsive brakes.

Very enjoyable and felt safe with our guide - There were only two of us on the tour (due to cancellations etc), but we still went ahead. Federico was our very cheerful driver who took more risks driving on... read more the road, than we did cycling. And Victor was our guide. He was very patient and explained every potential danger before we did it. Obviously an activity such as this always carries a degree of risk, but with Victor this risk was greatly mitigated. He was also a very friendly and knowledgeable chap, and his English was excellent. Can't recommend enough!
